This article talks about mainly easy steps for organizing an amazing Tadoba trip from Bangalore. This assumes you have no pre-knowledge about Tadoba or any tiger reserve for that matter. This also assumes that you have WildTrails India App
3 Easy Steps for a Tadoba Trip from Bangalore
Step 1: Book the Tadoba Safari First
Fix dates. Go to App–> Safari Booking –> Select Tadoba –> Book the safari for the Dates you want and get the Voucher
Remember the Gate where you Booked Safaris
Ideally book at the same gate as there are 12 gates and spread across 140 kms. So don’t risk booking at multiple gates as all gates. Use TSI to book the gate (higher the better) as it says which gate has higher tiger sighting chances.
You can book Maximum 2 safaris for a Day – one in the morning and one in the evening. Assume you reach Tadoba on Day1 and you stay back there in Day1 and Day2 and you will leave Tadoba on Day 3 (i.e 2 nights 3 days package); Book for Day 1 afternoon safari, book for morning and evening for D2 and morning for D3 and you can checkout after morning safari
Step 2: Book the Tadoba Connect Next
Now that you have booked the Safari, book the transport to Tadoba immediately. If you are a planer person, book the Indigo plane that flies directly to Nagpur from Bangalore. If you are a train person, find out which gate you chose is closer to which stations. (That is also shown in the App under Safari Details/tadoba). if nagpur book for Nagpur, if closer to Chandrapur book for either Chandrapur or Balharshah) (Rajdhani Express goes to Balharshah).
Once the train is booked, find out the last mile connectivity either via Cabs or Via Buses (this is also coming in the App soon) and either book it if it’s a cab or note down the numbers and timings if it is a Bus.
Step 3: Now book the Accommodation (resort or a hotel or a homestay)
Resorts are dime a dozen over there. Go to App –> Book a Jungle Stay –> Choose Tadoba —> Choose the Gate where you booked the Safaris —> See listing of accommodations.
You can choose either a home stay or a standard hotel/lodge or a high end resort – all of them exist and all are close to the Safari gates. Choose based on your budget and lifestyle.
That’s it and you are done!!! Take the train/air tickets and get to Nagpur/Chandrapur/Balharshah – get into the Bus or pre-booked Cab and get to the hotel and show the hotel voucher, checkin and also show the Safari voucher and (these resorts have partnered with WildTrails India and hence) when you show the Safari voucher done via WildTrails India, they will make sure they get the gypsy to the Hotel and they will handle all safari for you. No hassles and no worries. Just make sure you carry hard copies of all vouchers and also cash to pay for the gypsy and the guide (approx 2500 per gypsy per safari) and also ID cards original that you used to book the safari (ideally use Aadhar cards). That’s it!!
