Barela Jheel Salim Ali-Jubba Sahni (Baraila Braila) Bird Sanctuary
The lake, situated at Braila village under Patepur block, is a lifeline to several biological creatures like Pragmitis, Tifa, Hydrila, Utroculeria etc.
The lake is a natural home for some 59 species of migratory birds and about 106 variety of local avians including Teals Cormarants, Eagle, White Breasted King Fisher, Pied, Egreis poonbill, Pelicans, Coots, Grebes, Green parrot, Gull and Lalsar and many others. Oak Bhatel, found on marshy surface was very common here and locally referred as ”Ejara”. It was a favourite tree of the birds. Red-Cotton too was very common here alonwith other local plants.
