Clouded Leopard National Park

Clouded Leopard National Park is a beautiful place, located in the West Tripura district of the state of Tripura. Clouded Leopard National Park is a part of Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary.

Clouded Leopard National Park was established in the year of 2007. Total area of the park is 5.08 Km2.

The Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary in Tripura is the hot spot of bio-diversity with abundant stock of flora, fauna, birds, etc. It is famous for its captive Clouded Leopard enclosures.

Presbytis, or spectacled langur, an endemic species of Tripura is abundant here, and the other mammals like Leopard, Jungle fowl, Barking deer, Clouded leopard, and Wild pigs are also found in the park.

The park is an ideal place for all those who want to enjoy the beauties of the Mother Nature at its best. The place offers various sightseeing sights like Botanical garden, lake, zoo etc.

Geography

Clouded Leopard National Park is located in the West Tripura district of the state of Tripura. It is a part of Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary covers an area of 18.53 square kilometers. Total area of the National park is 5.08 Km2.

The terrain is green throughout the year and the weather is temperate except for the two humid summer months of March and April. It is a woodland with an artificial lake.

The region enjoys temperate weather throughout the year however during summer in the months of March and April the weather is quite humid.

The average annual rainfall in the state is 2024.4 mm. Maximum rainfall is generally received in the months of July to September.
