Jungle Lodges and Resorts are actually undertaken by the Tourism Department of Karnataka state and surprisingly very well run and managed. Kabini property is their prize property and most sought after.

Resorts of Jungle Lodges and Resorts

Below are a list of all Jungle Lodges and Resorts property sorted based on the Popularity rating so that it will help you make a decision to choose the right one.

Kabini River Lodge

The Prized property of Jungles Lodges and Resorts, located approx. 240 kms south of Bangalore and is attached to Nagarhole National Park and is on the banks of river Kabini. This is the best place if you want to spot tigers, leopards, black panther, elephants and even sloth bears. [to know complete sighting details, download WildTrails India App] The resort nestles within nature and on the banks for the river. Amazing place it is. Ask for river facing cottage.

Bandipur Safari Lodge

It is attached to one of the top sanctuaries of India, Bandipur National Park. Another amazing place to sight tigers, leopards, elephants. But the resort sort of is a let-down as is right next to the highway and looks more like a highway stopover. Only highlight has to be your safari into the forest.

Approx. 240 kms south of Bangalore and approx. 5 hrs Travel. Road is very good.

River Tern lodge

This is on the banks of River Bhadra and very close to Shivamogga and also to Chikkamagalur. Resorts are amazing with the river view and are all nestled on a hill top. The Bhadra forest is a Tiger reserve and chances of spotting tigers are pretty high. Even leopards sightings are common here and of course elephants. It is approx. 260 kms north west of Bangalore and 5 hour drive and again amazing roads.
