The Phen Sanctuary was established in the year 1983. The sanctuary is spread across a total area of 111 sq. km. The Fauna at this sanctuary mainly consists of the Tiger, Leopard, Wild boar, Cheetal, Sambar etc. Kanha National Park, Mandla and Fossil National Park Mandla are some nearby tourist spots.
