Veerangna Durgawati Wildlife Sanctuary

Veerangana Durgavati Sanctuary was established in 1997. The Sanctuary is located in Damoh District of Madhya Pradesh. The animals found at the sanctuary in majority include Tiger, Panther, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Four Horned Antelope, Wild Boar, Blue Bull and Barking Deer. There are also plenty of bird species at view including Peacock, Spur Fowl, Snipe, Bar-headed Goose, Pintail and Dotted Snake Bird.

There are several tourist destinations in and around the Sanctuary.

The Singourgarh Fort, Battlefield of Sangram Shah, the famous Nohleshwar Shiv Temple, Bhairhaghat, etc. being some of these locations. Visit between November and June. Accommodation at the Sanctuary is available at the Forest Rest House in Damoh.
