5 Offbeat Weekend Experiences Around BENGALURU (Wildlife)
Being a wildlife aficionado and a wildlife traveller for last 2 decades, I can suggest this to any persona as the best wildlife vacations around bangalore more as a weekend getaway. You can be a family with small kids or a family with grown up kids or a bunch of friends to have a good time or a solo traveller. All of you will enjoy thoroughly these wildlife destinations. I will try to give detailed information on how to plan these trips for the weekend and from Bangalore (Bengaluru). All of them will involve safari in the forest and for all you can take your infants if you have to. Also all these destinations are chosen based on driving distance too and all are within 5 hours of drive from Bengaluru. I have also ordered based on the popularity too. Please note that all the ones list below are officially declared Tiger Reserves.

The best park in Karnataka be it for sightings or the quality of resorts that exist in the vicinity of the park. This can be used for any occasion be it for your family outing, be it for your honeymoon or a romantic getaway or even a adventure getaway, it has it all. It’s approx. 210 kms from Bengaluru and will take approx. 5 hours by road
The second best but extremely popular is Bandipur tiger reserve. Also has very good set of resorts in the vicinity of the park. Very close to Ooty and Masinagudi. It’s approx. 220 kms from Bengaluru and will take approx. 5 hours by road.
As good as Bandipur be it location or sightings. Again very good set of resorts. Very close to coorg and the amazing spots of Coorg. It’s approx. 220 kms from Bengaluru and will take approx. 5 hours by road.
Beautiful place. Part of the western ghats. Amazing resorts on the hill top looking into the Bhadra river. It’s approx. 240 kms from Bengaluru and will take approx. 5 hours by road.
The resort is in the middle of the forest and you will feel it. Amazing locale and a must visit. Less heavy on the wallet but amazing place. It’s 190 kms from Bengaluru and will take approx. 4 hours by road.
