see Tigers in the wild

This article lists all the places across the world where you can get to see tiger in the wild and the Best places to see Tigers in the wild without a doubt. These spots are listed below.

To See Tigers in the Wild – Countries to go to

The three countries that are best  to see Tigers in the wild are India, Nepal, & Bangladesh. I will cover Nepal and Bangladesh in another article, another day. Let me talk about India and the sanctuaries here where you get to see tiger in the wild and also where your chances are pretty high.

Method Used:

Even though most people go by the here-says, what people talk about etc, we went by a scientific method and introduced a metric called TSI (Tiger Sighting Index tm). We collect sightings data across all popular national parks and tiger reserves, then we measure what % of gypsies actually got to see the tiger and that gives us the TSI over a period of time and we calculate this for 7,14 & 28 days and get a feel of chances of sighting a tiger from a given sanctuary and from a given gate (usually all sanctuaries here in India have multiple gates from where safari starts and when you book a safari, you not only choose a sanctuary but you also need to choose a gate well ahead of time)

Kabini Nagarhole Tiger Reserve, Karnataka, South India

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh, Central India

*TSItm   stands for Tiger Sighting Index, which is calculated across all Tiger Reserves in India across all safari gates and suggests the % of sightings of tigers versus safari trips into the forest for past 7,14 or 28 days. Higher the TSI number, better the chances of sighting a tiger over there, especially higher the TSI for last 7 days.
